About Prompt Counter

Prompt Counter (counter.praveshsinghal.com) is a free toolkit for anyone writing prompts for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, FLUX or Sora. It grew out of a simple frustration: every AI platform measures and limits your input differently, and there was no single, fast, private place to check a prompt against all of them.

Our mission

Give prompt writers, designers and everyday AI users an honest, accurate character and token counter — without uploading their prompt anywhere, without a sign-up wall, and without slowing them down with ads or bloat.

Who built this

This project is created and maintained by Pravesh Singhal, who also writes about AI image prompts and prompt engineering at praveshsinghal.com, and built the companion tool resize.praveshsinghal.com for image resizing and compression.
